The Brown Barrel and Blind Harry’s offer fine dining, fast casual options, grab-n-go food, a full bar and a retail business all in one location. We offer a wide variety of custom bourbons.

The Brown Barrel offers a great selection of great appetizers and meals for every taste and mood. We truly are a come-as-you are restaurant that serves everything from a build-your-own burger bar to fresh seafood entrees and specials.

A variety of selections

Our varied menu includes salmon, shrimp, rib eye steaks, New York Strips, sandwiches (try our Salmon BLT!) and a number of appetizers to name just a few.

As a Kentucky Proud farm-to-table restaurant, we use only fresh ingredients and we cook everything from scratch. Our homemade desserts include pies, cakes and cheesecake made daily in our own kitchen. The selection changes every day, depending on the creativity of our cooks. You may purchase pies and cakes by the slice or entire pies and cakes or just slices.

Whether you’ve just finished working on the farm or are out for a romantic anniversary dinner, you’ll feel comfortable here. UK and UofL fans are welcome to watch the big game with us, and we are always happy to host office parties, wedding rehearsal dinners, prom dates and other special events. Kids are always welcome and can choose from our reasonably priced children’s menu.

But that’s not all: Blind Harry’s, our full-service bar, is well-stocked. And our liquor store features a great selection of Kentucky bourbons and other products, as well as a number of local and California wines.

Another couple suggested we try Brown Barrell on March 23, 2018. Both couples agreed the food was great including dessert, triple chocolate cake with 4 scoops of ice cream. There was a varied menu. Would highly recommend. I would also recommend reservations on a Friday night. We will definitely go back.

Great addition to the Midway restaurant scene. The space is very open and airy with lots of natural light and tastefully decorated with a truly Kentucky feel. The service is attentive and knowledgeable of the menu items. The menu offers a large selection sure to please almost everyone. I’ve visited the restaurant twice and had an event catered. The food was great every time.
