Situated in historic Downtown Frankfort, the Brown Barrel and Blind Harry’s offers fine dining, fast casual options, grab-n-go food, a full bar and a retail business all in one location. We offer a wide variety of custom bourbons.

The Brown Barrel offers a great selection of great appetizers and meals for every taste and mood. We truly are a come-as-you are restaurant that serves everything from a build-your-own burger bar to fresh seafood entrees and specials.

Our varied menu includes salmon, shrimp, rib eye steaks, New York Strips, sandwiches (try our Salmon BLT!) and a number of appetizers to name just a few.

As a Kentucky Proud farm-to-table restaurant, we use only fresh ingredients and we cook everything from scratch. Our homemade desserts include pies, cakes and cheesecake made daily in our own kitchen. The selection changes every day, depending on the creativity of our cooks. You may purchase pies and cakes by the slice or entire pies and cakes or just slices.

Whether you’ve just finished working on the farm or are out for a romantic anniversary dinner, you’ll feel comfortable here. UK and UofL fans are welcome to watch the big game with us, and we are

always happy to host office parties, wedding rehearsal dinners, prom dates and other special events. Kids are always welcome and can choose from our reasonably priced children’s menu.

But that’s not all: Blind Harry’s, our full-service bar, is well-stocked. And our liquor store features a great selection of Kentucky bourbons and other products, as well as a number of local and California wines.
