About Our Team

Welcome everyone! My name is Sara Mitchum, and I’m the owner of Afterglow. I have been a stylist since 1999 and it was always my dream to have my own salon. That dream came true in 2006 when I opened AFTERGLOW SALON & SPA in downtown Frankfort. With significant growth and several locations under my belt, we have finally settled into a spacious and newly renovated location, conveniently located off US 127. Here at Afterglow, our clientele is like family. You will feel right at home in our relaxed but professional atmosphere. I am blessed to be surrounded by such a wonderfully skilled and talented staff and we were proud to be recognized as Frankfort’s Favorite Salon consecutively in 2017 and 2018. Away from the salon, you will find me with my two beautiful daughters, Haylee and Kaiden and my husband Joe. 	Hi, my name is Amber Bryant. I have been a stylist since 2003 and have been at Afterglow since 2013. I am happily married to Clay and have two amazing kiddos, Brandon and Chloe. I am very family oriented and consider my clients my extended family. I love working at Afterglow because our staff is so caring and selfless. We are always looking for ways to give back to our community. My favorites part of being a hairstylist is making personal relationships with my clients and being able to interact with them. 	Hey there! I’m Meredith. I’ve been at Afterglow since 2019. When I’m in the salon you can find me cutting, blonding, and waxing. I’m probably drinking a Diet Coke, too. Out of the salon, I’m likely binging my latest tv obsession, leading Bible study at church, and still drinking Diet Coke. I love that the Lord has allowed me to combine my passions of Jesus and women into a fun and fulfilling career. You can follow along at @hairandprayerwithmer. 	Hi, my name is Madison Rayburn. I graduated from cosmetology school in 2018, and I’ve been at Afterglow since 2020. I specialize in blonding, but I also have a love for special occasion hair and makeup. I’m a Frankfort native and grew up on a farm. When I’m not in the salon, you’ll find me hanging out at the farm with my goats or with my three dogs, Jackson, Ella, and Gator. I’m in the salon on Wednesday through Saturday, and you can see my work at @madiloushairdos.
	Hello! My name is Megan Huff and I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2010. I specialize in all types of therapeutic massage. I love getting to know my clients, and have formed many lasting relationships with them. I am married to my awesome husband, Robert. We love our fur babies! In my downtime, I am an avid crocheter.

	My name is Linda Thompson. I have been blessed with a long, satisfying career in cosmetology and salon management. From stylist to master designer to salon owner, I have loved every facet of my career. In 2024 I was delighted to join Sara Mitchum at Afterglow Salon and Spa in a part time position. I’ve been going here since about 2018. Bobby was my stylist and he was excellent. He was the first stylist I’d ever had to shush me when I said “grays” and insist that my few white hairs were “sparkle.” I miss him. After the pandemic, I went back and had the pleasure of being matched with Meredith. She is an absolute gem of a person and a talented hairstylist to boot. She listens, takes her time to make sure she is delivering what I want, and is just such a fun, bubbly person to talk to. I look forward to seeing her every few months. Definitely a wonderful place that I would recommend to anyone!
